Receive an email when your anonymous OV-chipkaart is about to expire. This helps you reclaim any remaining balance on time or choose another way to travel.
From 1 July 2026, you can no longer buy an anonymous OV-chipkaart.
Do you already have one? You can continue to use it until it expires.

Do you have a personal OV-chipkaart? Then you’ll automatically receive a reminder.

What happens when my card expires?
If your anonymous OV-chipkaart expires, you can still request a refund of the remaining balance. A reminder helps you do this on time.

Has your card been lost or expired? With OVpay, you can easily continue travelling.
