Did you lose your personal OV-chipkaart? Then block your card as soon as possible. Your card will be blocked at midnight on the following day at the latest. Until this time you bear the risk of loss of card balance yourself.
An anonymous OV-chipkaart is not protected. This means that, after loss or theft, you cannot block and replace the card. This also means that you will not get a refund of the remaining card balance.
Tip: Ask your carrier how to travel until you receive the replacement card. Students can request a Temporary student travel product via www.studentenreisrpoduct.nl.
