With autoreload you always have sufficient credit on your OV-chipkaart. When your OV-chipkaart e-purse reaches a minimum limit of € 5, a fixed amount (currently €10, €20 or €50) is loaded from your bank or giro account. This ensures you will always have enough credit to pay for your journey and you no longer have to stand in line at a ticket office or vending machine. Autoreload is only available for the personal OV-chipkaart.

Acquiring autoreload
The authorisation statement for autoreload only has to be signed once. Your signature gives continuous permission to automatically reload your OV-chipkaart credit when the minimum limit amount is reached. You can chose between autoreload amounts of € 10, € 20 and € 50. You can cancel autoreload at any given moment through "Mijn OV-chipkaart".
